SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN

Gurukulam is an organization dedicated to developing emotional intelligence. We apply psychology, philosophy, and culture to everyday life.

MISSION STATEMENT

We empower our students to achieve their highest potential as citizens through equal learning opportunities.

VISION STATEMENT

We strive to teach our students to be responsible, productive, independent and globally-minded.

“Our school improvement process consists of four critical components: a plan for success, a process to execute that plan, technology to support it and to measure results, and a long-term commitment to implementing the plan with fidelity” At School Improvement Network, we’ve spent decades observing school systems and talking with education leaders, and we’ve noticed that K-12 leaders face numerous challenges that keep them from being as effective as they can be. These include trying to pursue too many objectives, constant changes in direction, and poor communication throughout the organization. But here we here at Gurukulam have tried to minimize the challenges generally other organization face on. The primary challenges, problems, or areas of volatility are,

• “Creating and disseminating the vision, goals, objectives, and expectations from the top to the bottom.”
• “Multiple visions, objectives, models, systems, ideas, technologies, and agendas all competing for time and resources.”

Our plan is based on the needs of our school or student, so we will begin with a comprehensive assessment that accurately gauges our strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Our plan includes student achievement data, classroom walkthrough information, and surveys of students, parents and teachers. It also includes that will lead us concise, measurable, and achievable goals and objectives that will lead to a path to success. For those students who are struggling because they are bored, frustrated, or overwhelmed with the pace of instruction. To address these problems, we are planning to establish the following goals:

(1) Implement more personalized learning to meet every student at an appropriate level of instruction;
(2) Connect what students are learning to authentic, real-world tasks; and
(3) Use a variety of formative assessment strategies to check students’ understanding before advancing to a new topic.
(4) Emphasis on Capacity/ Character building/ development of physical traits.
(5) Our school improvement process consists of four critical components:

(i) a plan for success
(ii) a process to execute that plan
(iii) technology to support it and to measure results
(iv) A long-term commitment to implementing the plan with fidelity.

These four elements sound simple enough in theory, yet putting them into practice can be quite challenging. Developing a plan Success starts with having a solid plan to guide, improvement efforts. Atal Tinkering Lab: NitiAyog (Think Tank of Govt. of India) is establishing tinkering lab in our school which is a matter of prestige and proud.
